The dbx DriveRack 260 is a professional-grade, 2-input, 6-output digital signal processor (DSP) designed to deliver comprehensive system control, optimization, and loudspeaker protection. Engineered to serve as the brain of live sound and fixed-installation audio setups, it combines the functions of multiple traditional audio processors into a single, compact 1U rackmount unit.The system features dual independent processing channels with linkable 28-band graphic equalizers, alongside a robust multi-band parametric EQ to shape sound precisely for any venue. It provides multi-configuration crossover networks, precise system delays for time-aligning speaker arrays, and advanced dbx compression to maintain balanced audio dynamics.For maximum equipment protection, the DriveRack 260 is equipped with PeakStopPlus® limiters to prevent amplifier clipping and speaker damage. It also features a lightning-fast Advanced Feedback Suppression (AFS™) algorithm that actively identifies and eliminates acoustic feedback before it becomes audible.To streamline setup, the processor includes a dedicated real-time analyzer (RTA) front-panel input for a measurement microphone, enabling the Auto-EQ wizard to automatically tune the sound system to the room. The unit can be fully configured via its front-panel LCD screen and navigation buttons, or remotely programmed using a computer via its RS-232 serial interface and dbx’s proprietary DriveWare software.
